Pauline Buster, 82 years old, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2016 in Marietta, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late William Barnes, Sr. and Delzora Wisley Barnes. At an early age, Pauline accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized at Little Hope Baptist Church. Pauline grew up in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, attended Booker T. Washington High School and later moved to Mt. Kisco, New York. On October 29, 1952, she married the late Samuel E. Buster and from that union two children were born, Paula and Ronald. Married for 48 years Pauline was a devoted wife and loving mother. She was a very kind and gentle soul with a loving and generous heart; she was always giving to others.
She was a dedicated member of Bethel Baptist Church in Mt. Kisco, New York for over fifty years and truly loved the Lord and her church family. She served as the President of the Usher Board for twenty-five plus years and was a Sunday school teacher. She worked most of her life as a caregiver -taking care of the elderly and later worked at Waterview Hills Nursing Home, where she retired. She enjoyed cooking and had great culinary skills. She often catered church events, weddings, graduations and other social events. In 2004, Pauline was diagnosed with early stages of dementia and moved to Marietta, Georgia to be with her daughter. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, her two sisters, Verta Mae Barnes and Elsie Johnson; brother, William Barnes; and husband, Samuel Buster. To cherish and celebrate her life Pauline leaves two children-a loving daughter, Paula Blackwell (Russell), Atlanta, Georgia and son, Ronald Buster (Josephine); two step grandsons, Daniel and Darren, Fishkill, NY; sisterin-law, Cora Barnes and a host of nieces and nephews.
