OBITUARY
A Chapter Completed, A Page Turned, A Life well Lived. A Rest Well Earned.
Mrs. Thelma Burnette departed this life April 13, 1995.
Mrs. Thelma Taylor Burnette was born in Bibb County to the parentage of late William and Rosa Taylor. She attended Bibb County Schools graduated from Ballard Normal. She was a seamstress. At a very early age, she joined St Paul A.M.E. Church and was very active in the church until her health failed. She was a member of the Chancel Choir for many years, the Phyliss Wheatley Club, The Sons and Daughters of Ruth. She was married to the late Thomas Burnette and to this union six children were born. She was a loving, caring and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
She leaves to cherish the memory of her love, one daughter, Barbara M. Boddy; four sons, Thomas Burnette of Indianapolis, Ind., Raymond, Albert, and Taft Burnette all of Macon, Georgia; sister, Minnie L. Smith; brother-in-law, Mr. Norris Burnette; fourteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
