Mr. Alvin Dewitt Burks was born to the late Walt (Roberta)
Burks on March 16, 1942 in Tallassee, Alabama, where he attended Public Schools. He then later became a Professional
Semi Driver.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories, former wife of
twenty-five years, Ms. Margaret Ann Burks from this union four
children were born: Kyle (Lynyea) Burks of Los Angeles, California, Travis (Latonia) Burks of McDonough, Georgia, Sharon Burks of Atlanta, Georgia and AL Dewnen Burks of Jonesboro, Georgia; eight grandchildren, Travis Burks, Kayla
Denise Hogan, Lekaria Shanece Fulton, Marshauna Trancee
Burks, Orristian Emanuel Brown, Jalen Tavon Brown, Bryce Amari Burks and Lauren Lynyea Burks; three brothers, Billy (Loretta) Burks of Birmingham, Alabama, Roland Hayes and Johnny Houston Burks of Boston, Massachusetts. Preceded in death were brothers, James Burks and Douglas Burks. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
