Mr. Raymond Buckhanon was born on June 6, 1940 to Hubert Buckhanon and Annelou Jones in the city of Tallassee, Alabama, Elmore County. He departed his life on July 21 , 2005 at 5:30am.
He was employed by the City of Atlanta for thirty-two years until he retired in1977. Mr. Buckhanon met and fell in love with Joanie M. Pace and they were together for thirty-eight years.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Joanie Buckhanon. He also leaves behind his brothers, Hubert Buckhanon Jr. , Willie H. Jones, Oscar Jones, Jr. (Dorothy J. Jones), Johnny Jones (Lessibie), and Larry Jones all of Tallassee, Alabama; sisters, !nell Ray (Calvin), Mary Jones (Jimmy), Phyliss Turner (Reginald), Ema Buckhanon all of Tallassee, Alabama; brother-in-law, James Long and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
