In Loving Memory of Stanley Brown, Sunrise: October 22, 1954 - Sunset: July 2, 2011, Service, Monday, July 11, 2011 - 12 pm, Lawrence H. Woodward Funeral Home, 1 Troy Avenue, Brooklyn, N.Y. 11213

HE ONLY TAKES THE BEST
Cod saw he was getting tired And a cure was not to be
So He put His arms around him And whispered "Come to Me"
With tearful eyes we watched him sleep And saw him fade away
Although we loved him dearly We could not make him stay
A golden heart stopped beating loving hands were laid to rest Cod broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best!
HIS VISAGE CARRIES ON
Is that him lolling in the grease? To spend some time and get release? I've heard that he was always there; For those he loved, to watch and care.
The house is looking quite renewed; Thanks to our home repairing dude; And friends remain, from decades past
From here to there, to ever last.
The buses, East New York run fine, ' cause Stanley's stationed on the line;
I look away and then he's gone; Although his visage carries on.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
The family of Stanley Brown wishes to express its deepest appreciation and sincerest gratitude to everyone for all the acts of

Cars were his passion, before his career at NYC Transit he worked at various Auto Mechanic Shops. He was considered a motor specialist. He loved working on motors, taking them apart and putting them back together. He was employed 26 years with the NYC Transit Authority. He retired October 26 2008, soon after his health began to fail. Stan was known as the no nonsense guy of the family. He was a man of many words. He would sometimes raise his voice to get his point across. This was his way of showing he cared!
