went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 11, 2017. Robert was born in Sparta, Georgia on June 14, 1934 to Henry andIndiana Boyer Brown(deceased). He receivedhis education in
s Sparta Georgia School Districts graduating/rom Ellis Ingram High &hoof. On
February 14, 1960, at the age of26, he married his belovedJuanita McClendon. This union was blessed with three children.
Robert was a serviceman and received an honorable discharge from the United States Army. He is known to many as a hard worker and has held manyjobs. He was was skilled in many areas. Robert could tell you what was wrong with your
car andfix it. He would repair things in the home and even do some painting
in the house. He was also a family man. The job that his family and friends have known him well to do was with The Budd Company where he was a master mechanic which is where he retiredfrom.
Robert accepted the Lord at an early age in Sparta, GA. He later rededicated his life and was an active member at Triumph Baptist Church where he served until his untimely death. Robert was very p roud of his church and made it his business to be there when services were held. He was a f aithful member.
Robert was a devoted husband, a caringfather, and a long lastingfriend. He was a family man and he did all that he could to make certain that his children and his family were well taken care of There were no wants when it came to Robert. He would go out ofhis way to be certain others were happy.
Robert met a very special person many years ago named Mary Merriweather. They have spent many years and memories together. They enjoyed each others company and would be seen enjoying theater together, banquets, dinner, and concerts. Robert was a confidant to Mary and would take her anywhere that she wanted to go and ensured that she would return home safely.
Robert was welcomed into heaven by his parents Henry and Indiana Brown, his loving wife Juanita Brown, his youngest daughter Wanda Brown, his brother James P. Brown, his sister Cathy Jones, his mother-in-law, Dora Ledbetter, his brother and sister in law James and Bernice McClendon.
He leaves to cherish his memories his daughter Rochelle Baker and his son Robert Lee Brown, Jr. of Philadelphia, PA, his brother Paul Brown (Lorraine) of Reading PA, Charles Brown (GeQrgia) of Columbus, Ohio, Lovett Brown (Carolyn) of Sparta, GA, his sister Joann Oliver (John) of Philadelphia, PA, Betty Scott (Danny) ofA tlanta, GA, and one sister-in-law Madelyn Edwards of Winter haven, FL. Robert has 4 grandchildren, Dwight, Cornelius, April, and Tatiana. He has 25 great grandchildren and a host ofnieces, nephews, cousins, and extendedfamily andfriends
