Unknown
Life is but a stopping place, A pause in what's to be.
A resting place along the road, to sweet eternity
We all have different journeys, Different paths along the way. We all were meant to learn some things,
but never meant to stay ... Our destination is a place. Far greater than we know. For some the journey's quicker, For some the journey's slow. And when the journey finally ends, We 'll claim a great reward, And find an everlasting peace.
Together with the Lord.

With deepest gratitude and appreciation, the family acknowledges the many

expressions of love through your prayers , flowers , cards , telephone calls, and

visits during the homegoing celebration of our love one. May God pour out

many blessings upon you .

Gwendolyn L. Butler Brown was born on December 8, 1953 to David Butler, Sr. and the late Bessie Mae Francis Cunningham.
Gwen loved the Lord and dedicated her life to Him. She kept God first in her life, in her heart, in her spirit and on her mind. She joined World Changers Church International and became more anchored in her relationship with God. She was an intercessory prayer warrior, a minister, a mentor and a spiritual mother. The life she lived demonstrated love, joy, peace, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. She was the epitome of love. In spite of her pain, her agony, her trials, and tribulation, she arose through it all because she communed with God. Her life demonstrated the Gethsemane moment when Jesus prayed, "Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done." Gwen didn't murmur or complain as she went through her journey because she knew that her life would edify the Kingdom of God even the more. She imparted how to have a relationship with God with countless individuals and for that we are forever grateful.
She married Sterling Tyron Brown, December 4, 1982. They were the proud parents of three children, Meshia Meyon Bean, Sterling Tyron Brown, Jr., and Demetrius Anthony Butler (Tanesha).
She leaves to cherish her wonderful memories, her beloved husband; two sons; a daughter; a daughter-in-law; father; a brother, David Butler, Jr.; a stepmother,
Linda; three stepsisters; one stepbrother; three grandsons, Joshua T. Sinyard,
De'Mario Butler and Demetrius Butler, Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
