Georgia Mae Brown was bomJuly 27, 1945 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Mr. John Brooks and Ms. Rosa Davis. She attended Washington High School in Adanta, Georgia where she excelled as an honor student.
Georgia was married to Roy James Brown, Jr. To this nnion, three children were born. She was a loving and giving mother, ensuring that her children received everything they needed and more. She also ensured that they all attended Sunday school and church regularly. Georgia worked for the State of Georgia Education Department as a secretary for many years until becoming disabled. She was an avid sports fan, lover of music and was drawn to intellectually stimulating activities.
She was preceded in death by three siblings, Helen Davis, Marion (Davis) Bozeman, Anderson Davis and one child, Rodney Brown.
Georgia leaves to cherish her precious memory: husband, Roy James Brown, Jr.; two children, Felecia (Brown) Chaney and Pamela Brown; four grandchildren, Artesha Chaney, Lartesha Chaney, Alicia Chaney and Canniski Brown; one stepdaughter, Donna Renee Brown; one brother, John Davis; one sister, Catherine (Davis) Wilburn; two cousins, Brenda (Davis) Butler, Martha (Durham) Scott; and a host of other relatives and friends.
