Mrs. Bennie W. Brown of Decatur, Georgia departed this life on February 1, 2016 at the astonishing age of 100. She was the last living child of Mr. & Mrs. Benjamin and Mary Williams.
Bennie Roe, as she was affectionately known, had a strong dedication for her family, her friends and her job and in her spare time she loved sewing, baking, reading and traveling. Also, as a lifelong member of West Mitchell Street C.M.E. Church, she faithfully served on the Usher Board for seventy-four years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. J .W. Brown; son, Mr. Benny Evans; seven sisters, eight brothers and two granddaughters.
Mrs. Brown is survived by two daughters, Aurelia Davis and Carlton Carter; daughter-in-law, Dorothy Evans; nine grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; three nieces; four nephews and a host of relatives and friends.

I'd like the memory ofme to be a happy one. I'd like to leave an afterglow ofsmiles when lift is done.
I'd like to leave an echo whispering sojt!J down the wqys, Ofhappy times and laughing times and bright and sunny dqys.
