William George Brent known as Billy Brent to all his friends. Billy was the second eldest child of eleven children. He was born on May 16th, 1907 to William and Celeste Brent in Alexandria, LA.
He departed this life on March 15, 1978 at 11:45 A.M.
Billy moved to Chicago along with his family in the early twenties where he attended school. In 1932 he left Chicago and went to Syracuse, New York where he married Thelma Williams. From this union three children were born. Billy was a former contender for the Middleweight Championship of the World. He leaves to mourn him: one daughter, two sons, two grandchildren, two brothers, two sisters, two brothers-in-law, a sister-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Sleep on Billy, take your rest We loved you, but God loved you best.
