When/ Must Leave You
When I must leave you, For a little while, Please do not grieve and shed wild tears And hug your sorrow to you Through
the years, But start out bravely With a gallant smile; Andfor my sake Andfor my name live on and do All things the same, Feed not your loneliness on empty days, Butfill each waking hour in useful ways,
Reach out your hand in comfort and in cheer AndI in turn will comfort you and holdyou near, Andnever, never be afraid to die. For I am waitingfor you in the sky!

..A Blossie Mae Boyd, was born on August 9, 1937 to the late

Reverend Robert Lee Davis and Maybelle Hanton Davis in Bowman, South Carolina.

Blossie was the second of four siblings. She attended Old Mt. Zion Bowman Baptist Church where she was baptized at the age of fourteen. She spent her teenage years living in Orangeburg, South Carolina, and she attended Wilkerson High School.

In 1954, Blossie married her childhood sweetheart and they moved to New York. After living in New York for a short while, Blossie moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Blossie worked as a caregiver and was employed at Sojourn Assisted Living Facility for over sixteen years.
Blossie always had a loving relationship with the Lord and she joined Shalom. B:aptist Church under the pastorate of Reverend David Weeks Jr., in 1977. She sang joyfully on the Senior Choir until her employment prevented her fr-om attending rehearsals .

Blossie could always be heard during Sunday morning worship praising the Lord with a powerful "Hallelujah"! Blossie will also be remembered for her delicious pound cakes and her love for shopping.
She leaves to cherish her fond memories: six children, Ernestine, Linda, Phyllis, Morroun, Tedavis, Derrick; two sisters, Rosa Keitt, Victoria King (South Carolina); four sisters-in-law, Dorothy Boyd and Martha Boyd (New York), Mabel Cummings (Poconos, Pennsylvania), Mozelle Miller (South Carolina); brother-in-law, John Boyd (New York); an aunt, Annabelle Davis (New Yol%); seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Prayerfully Submitted, The Family

Psalms 23 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths ofrighteousness for his name sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley ofthe shadow ofdeath, I will fear no evil: For thou art with me; Thy rod and thy staff, comfort me: Thou prepareth a table before me Jn the presence of mine enemies: Thou anonintest my head with oil; My cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy
shallfollaw me All the days ofmy life; And I will dwell in the house ofthe Lordforever. Amen
