A GLIMPSE INTO HIS LIFE...
DARIUS l~YRIQ BOTTOMS was born in Atlanta,
Georgia on August 5, 1995 to Myeka Jennings and Darian Bottoms. Darius grew up in Atlanta and attended A. Phillip Randolph Elementary School, Ralph J. Bunche Middle School, and Benjamin E. Mays High School. Darius attended New Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia.
Darius was a joyful child who always returned much love and life to his family. As a child, he enjoyed Uttle league football and baseball. At Benjamin E. Mays he was a member of the All Boys Eagles Academy, a mentoring organization. Darius graduated from Benjamin E. Mays High school in 2013 , where he was well known and liked. He took much pride in his appearance. His habits of good grooming and dressing cut across his social groups and earned him the superlative of "Best Dressed" during his
senior year.
Darius dreamed of being a business owner and was pursuing a degree in Business Manage1nent from Atlanta Metropolitan State College, while also working at The Home Depot. Darius had a big heart and a passion for life. He loved people, especially his family, and had a unique gift of bringing joy and laughter with his infectious smile.
Darius possessed a loving, compassionate, and warm spirit throughout his life. He never hesitated to show and tell his loved ones how much he truly cared for them. Like most teenagers, he enjoyed spending time with his friends: however, he never grew tired of being with his family.
Darius Tyriq Bottoms' bright eyes, handsome smile, and life will be truly missed by all those whose life he touched. As he makes his spiritual journey, he leaves behind to cherish the fond and precious memories of his life: his wonderful parents, Darian Bottoms and Myeka Jennings; sisters, Mikiya Rogers and Tariyana Russ; grandparents, Lawrence and Celestine Bottoms; grandmother, Lenora Flanagan; uncles, Derek Bottoms (Keisha) and Demethris Jennings (Helen); aunt, Ayana Jennings; girlfriend, Eukelra Walker, and a host of other relatives and friends.

A piece of my heart is torn, Surely, My dear son, Darius...I will truly miss!

YOU CAN
You can shed tears that he is gone or you can smile because he has lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that he'll come back or you can open your eyes and see all he's left.
Your heart can be empty because you can't see him or you can be full of the love you shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember him and only that he's gone or you can cherish his memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back or you can do what he'd want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
