Reverend Jerrie Ann Blue, was born April 22, 1941 to William Clifford Byrd and Estella Flagg Byrd, in Atlanta, Georgia. She became a member of Neriah Baptist Church at age Ten .
Rev. Blue graduated from South Fulton High School in 1959. She Continued her education at Morris Brown College where she became a member of Alpha Kappa Sorority, Inc. She taught in the Atlanta Public School System. She Furthered her education at the University of New York, Buffalo. While there she earned a Masters Degree in Education and Counseling .
She soon after Married Willi.am T. Blue and they were blessed with a loving daughter, Erica Lynn Blue.
Rev. Blue worked in the field of Education and Student Affairs at the University of Florida and Park College in Parksville, Missouri. In 1990 Rev. Blue received a call to the ministry while a member of St. Mark's Church in Kansas City, Missouri. She soon pursued a Master of Divinity Degree at Eden Theological Seminary in St. Louis, M:ssouri. After graduation in 1993, she worked as a Chaplain at St. Mary's Hospital in East St. Louis.
Finally, she served as pastor of First Christian Community Church in Caseyville, Illinois until her death.
