N e\v Jerscy. She received her Bachelors of Science Degree from
Spcln1an College in ,\tlanta, Georgia, her i\LD. fronl. "t\Ieharry :J\1edical College in NashYille, Tennessee and the l\IPH from J-Ia1Tard UniYcrsi t: in Can1bridge , Ivfassachusetts.
She served as a staff physician in several Boston area hospitals, including the ew J~ngland Baptist Hospital. She \vas staff physician at the 0-J c\v England l'clephone Company in Boston, i\fassachusetts until her retircnl.en t in 1997.
She \Vas a soror of the l)elta Sigma Theta Sorority. Upon relocating to Ea st Point, Ceorgia she was an actl\T member of the I-fJ C Bc)\vdin Center in East Point, c;eorgia.
She wa: preceded in death by her parents: ~ [ark G. Birchctte, Sr., and C~eraldine Ceer Birchette.
Cheryl leaves to cherish her 1nemories: son, San1uel f-1owarcl Pierce;
sister, Lillian i\Juricl Birchettc; brothers, fark C. Birchette, Jr. and his
partner, f2d\vard Christn1an III, and Gerald Craig Birchette; nephew,
TaY; lor Chase Birchctte and nurnerous cousins and other devoted fanl.ily metnbers and friends.
