Mr. Leroy " Knot " Binion, Sr., was born May 8, 1900 in Hancock County to Mr. Tull and Mrs. Eliza Binion. At an early age he moved to Morgan County and received his education in the public schools.
He was joined in marriage to Sallie Ree Boone in 1921.
Early Monday rnorning he departed this life. He leaves to mourn, seven daughters, Leona Mapp, Lurene Freeman, Sallie Ree Gilbert, Madison; Jessie Mae Templeton, Houston, Texas; Josephine Bishop, Columbus, Ohio; Eva Clara Parson, Mary Catherine Clark, Atlanta; four sons: Charlie, Leroy, Willie Frank and Talmadge Binion, Madison; fifty-five grandchildren and sixty great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
