Some Glad Day
0 Blessed tha't sweet rest will come Some glad day after while; when all our earthly toil is done, there'll come a glad day after while.
These heavy burdens we'll lay down, some glad day after while; when we receive our heavenly crown, there'll come a glad after while.
Our suffring too will all be past some glad day after while; when we shall fmd sweet rest at last there'll come a glad day day after while,
0 after while, after while there'll come a glad day, after while, 0 after while, after while, there'll come a glad day after while.

Mrs. Lois Grissom Benton was born June 7, 1907 in Jonesboro, GA. Her parents passed away shortly after her birth and she was reared by her older sister Ella and her husband Bud Armstrong. She was educated at the Rocky Mount Baptist School, after which she became a member. Ms. Lois met and married Mr. Herman Benton, September, 1928. To this union 4 children were born. Three preceding her in death. The family moved to East Point, GA in the late thirties. In the early forties the Benton's became a part of the Neriah Baptist Church Family under the leadership ofRev. While en1ployed at the school Ms. Lois was encouraged by one of the teachers, Mrs. Helen Simmons, to run for the Office of President of the PTA where she was elected and served two years in that office. Ms. Lois was often referred to as the first Grandmother PTA President since by then all of her children were adults.

Remember Me

~
-,; \,"(

While traveling thru this world of sorrow

I'm trusting Lord in thee;

That I may safely meet each trial

0 Lord remember me.

When cherished friends of earth forsake me. And love one from me fee;
Thou art may rod my staff my comfort 0 Lord remember me.

I know that I will soon be going Beyond the mystic sea;
And when I come to make the crossing 0 Lord remember me.

Remember me 0 loving Savior My strength and refuge be;
That I may share thy blessed favor 0 Lord remember me.
