MOTHER MINNIE R. BARNES
Mother Minnie R. Barnes was born July 28, 1907 in Coweta County, Georgia to the late Elex and Bell Shaver. Mother Barnes was preceded in death by twenty (20) sisters and brothers. Mother Barnes was united in Holy Matrimony to the late John Barnes.
Mother Barnes joined Fairburn {)nited Methodist Church at the age of twelve (12) and later in her early age joined Smith Chapel A.M.E. Church and then later in life she was united with Grant Chapel A.M.E. Church. She worked on the Mother's Board and was a faithful member until declining health.
Mother Minnie R. Barnes departed this life on Saturday, July 5, 2003 at the South Fulton Medical Center, leaving to cherish in loving memories, one niece, Julia Mae Hurston, devoted great nieces, Tracy Underwood, Carolyn and Freddie King, Karen Underwood, Wyomie Poythress and a host of other great nieces, great nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
