How do I love thee, let me count the ways ... As a little girl, you were sweet, kind, friendly, meek, smart, a leader, a Christian, you were pretty, and you were mine. Among your many achievements and reaching your goals, you were a teacher, an educator and you dearly loved children.
You attended: Saint Paul of The Cross Catholic School, Katherine Drexel andyou graduated Saint Joseph Catholic High School.
You graduated: Clark College with a BA Degree, University ofGeorgia with a Master Degree, Georgia State University with a Specialist Degree, and didfurther studies.
You were a certified teacher in the Dekalb County School System for thirty-one (31) years in the kindergarten as well as an ESOL teacher. In addition, a loyal member ofAKA Sorority, Inc. Sassie, you were very special, intelligent, beautiful, stylish, fun, social, witty, independent, sassy, generous, caring and sensitive.
You were well respected by not only your students, but by your parents and administration of your schools (Bruce Street, Midway, Robert Shaw, Panola Way and numerous others. You were devoted to the well being ofchildren throughout the school and church community. You were proud ofyour professional career as an educator, the accomplishments you made, and the many awards you received
You will always be remembered by your strong loyalty to your friends as well as your dedication and love for me.
You were christened at West Mitchell Christian Methodist Episcopal Church under the leadership of Dr. T. C. Lightfoot where you served andparticipated during your childhood and adult years.
Your Loving Mother Miss Dee Dee
Rest well, beloved, sweetly sleeping that I may close from further weeping. Rest well, rest well and let me too, rest well.
