Obituary
"To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. " II Cor. 5:8

Mr. William C. Baker was born July 7, 1937 in Margenum, Alabama. Both ofhis parents preceded him in death, Louise Baker Rhodes, and Fred Rhodes.
Mr. Baker was a dedicated employee of Vie De France where he workedfor
nine years until first illness. He was united in marriage to Betty Bolden on September 4, 1965. "Cal", as he was known by family andfriends, enjoyedfishing. A private
person, he dearly loved his family, particularly his grandchildren. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and goodfriends.
He entered into eternal rest on November 1, 1998 at the Crawford Long
Hospital. William C. Baker leaves to cherish his wonderful memory; a devoted wife,
Betty Baker; one son, Chong (Bessie) Hall, Atlanta, GA ; two loving daughters, Pamela (Andrew) Lewis, and Vonda Machelle Baker; nine grandchildren, Rashone, Reginald, Tea/a, Laluna, Christopher, Hollye, Trinese, Orlanzo and Antonio; four sisters, Katherine (Randolph) Mott, Lynette (Ferry) Smith, Ellen Roberts, Anna Lee Burse, Dalton, GA; uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

In Jesus' Arm The Lord looked down this morning
His child was in distress So He called him home to glory
Where he could take his rest. He said, "you've labored faithfully And you 've bore your burdens long. Now your weeping days are over
Its time to come on home. " He raised his strong, yet gentle hand
But he did not looked alarmed. He only closed his eyes and
Smiled as he rested in Jesus 'arms.

Dad We tried to find the perfect words to say how much you're loved - But words that strong
and rich are all to few When a Dad is as wonderful and cherished as you were, then
all there is to say is . . . We Love You. Your Children
Vonda, Pamela and Chang
