Obituary --Jennie Mae Bailey---
Jennie Mae Bailel:J was born in Henr1:1 Countl:J , Georaia on November 30, 1940 to the late
Georae and Nettie Barber. She was the sixth of eleven children.
Mrs. Baile1:1 was raised in a farmin8 communitl:J where she and her siblinas learned the value of
tedious labor b1:1 workina in the fields. She eraduated in 1958 from the only African-American
school in their district, the Iienry County Trainin8 School.
After eraduation, Mrs. Baile1:1 obtained her first job as a server at the Georaia Institute of Technoloey dinin8 hall. It was in this position that she met her life-lone husband, Clarence Bailel:J, Jr. They were married for 47 years.
Mrs. Bailey enjoyed other professions durin8 her journey. She worked as a seamstress preparin8 uniforms for various personnel at the Atlanta Airport. She was also a self-emplo1:1ed representative of the Avon Cosmetic Company.
Mrs. Baile1:1 discovered the Lord at an early aae and joined Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. She later transferred her membership to Ben Iiill United Methodist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Cornelius Henderson. She was a member until the time of her death.
Mrs. Bailey was p receded in death b 1:1 her siblines Annie Lois, Rubl:J, Zipora , Georae Jr., Mary Alice, Albert, John Weslel:J, and Henry Crawford.
She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband Clarence, Jr.; her only child Maxine (Johnny) White; her survivin8 siblines, Madine, Lorenza, and Sue; her father-in-law Clarence Bailey Sr.; a brother-in-law Billy (Jo1:1ce) Baile1:1; and a host of arandchildren, areatarandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, and many special friends.
