Johnnie Avie (Pie), 58, was born in Ft. Hood, Texas military base on August 20, 1952 to the union of the late Jeffery and Louise Skinner Avie. Johnnie loved and excelled in the game of basketball, baseball and had a fondness for antique and flea markets browsing and shopping. His greatest joy was hearing the laughter of children and seeing them play and spending time with his family, which brought him happiness and filled his heart and spirit with love.
Johnnie leaves to cherish his memories his siblings, Bertha Avie, Zeffery (Vicki) Avie, Melton Avie, Marie J eon Dowell and Rex Lowell Avie "Ricky"; two aunts, Sedonia Robinson and Mildred Skinner, seven uncles, a host of nieces: nephews; loving friend Signora Lynch, devoted cousin Carlton Arvie (Carolyn) and JoAnn Richards; a very loving and caring aunt, Louella Avie (Uncle Kerry) and family; other relatives and friends.

"I'll Fly Away,
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many
mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a placefor you: And ifI go and prepare a
placefor you, I will come again, and receive you unto
myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
