Perrolyn Machelle Perry Avery was born August 19, 1963 at Newton County Hospital, Covington, GA to the proud parents, Mr. & Mrs. Rufus (Lillie "Polly" Gibbs) Perry.
"Pam", as she was affectionately called, was raised and educated in Newton County, graduating from Newton County High School in 1982. After graduation she attended Dekalb Central College, majoring in nursing. At a young age she professed her faith in Christ and joined James Paschal Baptist Church.
Having an impeccable work ethic, Pain was a valued employee at the 755 Restaurant Corporation for over 27 years. As general manager, she was a very hard-working and dedicated employee.
On September 20, 2003, Pam married the love of her life, Dexter Ladell Avery. She became the proud step-mother to three children whom she adored.
Pam can best be described as a very loving, adorable, outgoing, empathic person who was extremely kind-hearted. Pam was very devoted to her family and was a loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She loved people and was loved in return by all those whose lives she touched. During her spare time, she enjoyed traveling, dancing, taking pictures and most of all, spending time with her family and entertaining her friends.
On March 13, 2010, Pam departed this earthly life, leaving a legacy of love to her husband: Mr. Dexter Ladell Avery; her parents: Mr. & Mrs. Rufus (Lillie) Perry; her step-children: Y'shima Belcher, Jasmine Cook, Darron Avery; step-granddaughter: Madison Cook; sister: Mr. & Mrs. Lee (Carolyn) Belcher; brother: Mr. D'artaunan Perry; motherin-law: Mrs. Rosie A. Smith; father-in-law: Mr. & Mrs. Willie (Annie) Hardeman; sisters-in-law: Mr. & Mrs. Richard (Pabler) Cobb and Ms. Nekita Smith; brothers-in-law: Mr. Willie Avery, Mr. Shawn Smith and Mr. Ron Howard; aunts: Mrs. Bernice Tensley, Mrs. Jeanette Perry and Mrs. Beatrice Stanley; uncles: Mr. & Mrs. George (Fannie) Perry, Mr. & Mrs. Guy (Dorothy) Perry, Mr. & Mrs. Henry (Betty) Gibbs and Mr. & Mrs. Otis (Leola) Gibbs; nephews: Bruce, Fredriquez, Bernard, Markail and Braden; nieces: Marquita, Tikia, Shontesha and Terrica; special cousin: Elder Brenda White; godsons: Atwone, B.J. and Tylan; and a host of other loving relatives and dear friends.
