Mashaun Terrance Asikari (Harris) was born December 7, 1979 in Chicago, Illinois to the late LaShaun Pearson and Johanna Elizabeth Harris.
Mashaun graduated from Cross Keys High School in 2008. Shortly after, attending Fort Valley State University and Morehouse College where he was a member of the Maroon Tigers football and track teams. After college, Mashaun enlisted in the United States Army (active duty). After his military career, he spent his time working with kids at the Boys and Girls Club .of America and volunteering with the YMCA of Metro Atlanta's Little League Football Team. Working for the improvement of others, Mashaun ultimately became an officer for the Fulton County Sheriff's Department. He was also an active member of the Moorish Science Temple of America, Atlanta Chapter #19.
Mashaun was a lover of life itself and in his spare time he was an advocate of a healthy lifestyle, which included working out and eating healthy. He enjoyed any and everything to do with football , reading , and his greatest love, spending time with his family.
On October 31 , 2012, Mashaun Terrance Asikari , went home to be with the Lord. He not only joined his heavenly father, but a host of family members as well.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Johanna Harris; grandmother, Mildred Hunt; two siblings, Candice Harris and Mildred Coleman (Curtis and nephew Isaiah); his companion, LaShawn Certain and their two children, Taharqa King Asikari and Mahari Asikari (unborn); and a host of uncles, cousins, and extended relatives and friends.
