We Will See Her Again
Giving , loving , caring , beautiful , God-fearing, wise, one of a kind Wife , mother, Mo'dear, Dearest, grandma, aunt, sister, confidant and friend All this and more define Mrs. June Marie Evans Andrews Known for being sharp from her earrings down to her shoes A charm ing personality, but could put you in your place : Don 't get it confused. Her house was always the place to be, where everyone loved to come and eat Her delicious food and her lovely colorful personality was always such a treat She touched the lives of many impacting anyone she'd meet She was just so precious and her presence was truly a gift She will be loved forever and so very greatly missed And we may cry because we miss her, but she is not crying because she is free And where she is right now, is where she wants to be And though we may feel a sense of loss, she hasn't lost a thing Instead she smiles bright for she is with the king And all those she loved that went before her, she can now see them again There is no more crying for her, no more suffering or pain She has inherited the kingdom of heaven, for to die in Christ is gain And we will miss her deeply and greatly, but we will see her again

Therefore we are always confident , knowing that, wh ilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord : (For we

walk by faith , not by sight:) We are confident, I say , and will ing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the

Lord .

Obituary
June Marie Evans Andrews, born in Eatonton, Georgia, on December 21, 1930, was
the ih child in a family of eight girls (Pheate, Annie, Alma, Odessa, Ruby, Eunice and Annie
Lee) and four boys (Charlie, Homer, Rogers and McArthur). Her father was Charlie Evans and her mother was Carrie Bell Harrison Evans.

In her early years, she attended school in Eatonton, and graduated from Washington

High School in Atlanta, where she was named a class leader. Later in life, she attended

classes at Georgia State University. She also attended Bible college; we treasure the

notebooks in which she wrote of her understanding of Jesus Christ.

June met Harvey C. Andrews (Andy) in middle school and married him upon
graduation from high school. Although she wanted a career outside the home, she sacrificed her ambition to the greater task of bearing and raising five children. She raised adults who achieved success in law, business, the military, television and the federal government. The success of her endeavors may be seen in that all of her children attended college, had successful careers and owned their own homes.

Like her husband, June was active in her community. For many years, she was the March of Dimes representative for her street. She also participated in many clubs for wives of non-commissioned officers.

Andy and June loved to entertain their many, many friends with great food and exuberant conversation in their warm inviting home. Mr. & Mrs. Andrews, known as honorable and down-to-earth, were loved by all whom they met and expertly entertained.

She was an expert gardener and cook. She canned vegetables and preserves and invented new recipes. Her steamed vegetables were famous and often requested . Mrs. Andrews had an excellent palate, she could taste any dish and tell you all of its ingredients.

Mrs. Andrews' two grandchildren, Sylvia A. McCoy and
Rachel J. Wilson, were a delight to her. From their birth, she was a support to their parents and taught the wisdom she had learned from her parents. Nothing made her happier than spending time with these two girls. She delighted in their education, was proud they graduated from high school and attended college.

Mrs. Andrews suffered and survived a massive stroke in 2008. She was assisted for the last six years and seven months by her devoted and protective nurse, Ms. Demavelyn Dodson. Mrs. Jacqueline Gutheridge was also a loving nurse.

Mrs. June Andrews, predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Harvey C. Andrews, is survived by her children Sylvia Andrews McCoy, Sandra T. Andrews, Marx 0. Andrews (Jan), Dexter P. Andrews and Gail Andrews Wilson; two granddaughters, Sylvia A. McCoy and Rachel J. Wilson, one spiritual granddaughter Ashley R. Gachett; former sons-in-law James A. McCoy, M.D. and Woodrow Wilson; former daughter-in-law Trena Coleman; two sisters Mrs. Eunice Evans Hall and Mrs. Allie Lee Evans Murray; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and too many friends to count.
