Your prayers, words of consolation, flowers and the many acts of kindness have sustained us during the loss of our father. The family would like to offer a special thanks to Regina, Lonnie, Carl, Annette and ManorCare as caregivers to our father. We also want to thank Mayson Chapel Baptist Church and Antioch East Baptist Church for their support.

06ituary
Charlie Lee Andrews, sometimes called Charlee, by family and friends, was the sixth child born to Mr. and Mrs. Young Andrews, Sr., in Clintonville, Alabama, on August 8, 1917. Charlie attended public schools in Coffee County, Alabama. He worked on several jobs; however, he retired from Amoco Oil after more than thirty years of service.
On December 25, 1937, Charlie united with Agnes Tindel, (who preceded him in death), in marriage, and together they welcomed thirteen children; six of whom also preceded him in death: infant, Charlie Jr., Eugene (Sweet) Sr., Beverly, Sylvia, Carlton, and Early Frank, into this union.
Charlie and Agnes moved to Atlanta during the early years of their marriage, where they joined Mayson Chapel Baptist Church, and remained faithful members until their deaths. He always liked celebrating Father's Day at church because he usually received first prize for the father with the most children. Charlie's hobbies included singing old hymns, playing the harmonica, reciting poems (The Wise Ole Owl), and telling jokes. He boasted of always being respectful and obedient to his parents. ManorCare, where he spent his final days, called him a very sweet man.
Charlie departed this life on Monday, July 13th. He leaves to cherish his memory three sons, Billy, Carl, and Reginald; four daughters, Mrs. Charlene (George) Meadows, Diane, Annette, and Mrs. Regina (Alfred) Abrams; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Susie Andrews; twenty-five grandchildren, George Jr. (Punkin), Seth, Carla and Nicole preceded him in death, thirty six great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Young (Micah) Andrews, and all of his siblings: Young, Jr. (YG), Frank, Dewey, Essie Bell, Johnnie Mae, and Earline, preceded him in death. In addition, he leaves a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
