Eugene Anderson, lire long resident of Atlanta and pioneer leader, died at his Terry Street Residence Sunday morning after an extended ii'lness. The deceased was a native born Americus, Ga. citizen and came to Atlanta when a youth. He received his e.1rlv education at Morr-is Brown College and entered the Railway mail service for a brief period, following which he entered the Pullman Company, reaching the highest position in the company and running in charge of his train for 47 years.
With his heavy duties he took time to participate in many civic activities for Atlanta. He was an active member of the Allen Temple AME church. After 47 years service with the Pullman company Mr. Anderson joined the staff of the YlMCA in the Boys department with distinction. He was married to Mr~ . Elizabeth Mamey of Nashville, Tenn., from which union seven ethildren were born. These include :
