The daystar shined down on the late Beatrice (Dubose) and Harry Tate on the birth of their third child, Margie on August 30, 1941. The light of their love shown as Margie grew as she attended Blackwell High and DeKalb Beauty College. She was blessed to acknowledge Jesus as her personal savior at an early age. In her professional career, she was a seamstress and hair stylist for many years where she served others lovingly, uplifting the Lord through her work and service.
She married Clarence Almond and of this union they had two loving daughters. She was preceded in death by her parents, Beatrice and Harry Tate, sister, Helen Tate, and brother, Alvin Tate.
Whereas it has pleased our Heavenly Father to remove from earth's sorrow to heaven's joy our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, sister-in-law, relative, and friend. Margie Almond, we resolve to commend you to God's keeping, Sunday, October 27, 2013.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Avera (Joe) McCrary and Lisa Hambrick; grandchildren, Brittany (Damian) Dunn, Jasmine Hambrick, Zachary McCrary, Joseph McCrary, Joshua Hambrick, and Jurnie Hambrick; one greatgranddaughter, Braylen Hollis; stepmother, Annie Sue Tate; brothers, Herbert (Catherine) Tate, James (Dorothy) Tate, and Ellis Tate; sisters, Thelma Burnett, Eloise (Eddie) Smith, Cora Rucker, and Ruth (Steve) Hunt; nieces, nephews, cousins, and special nieces, Teresa (George) Lains and Shelia Tate.
I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one.
I'd like to leave an afterglow, Of smiles when life is done
I'd like to leave an echo Whispering softly down the ways Of happy times and laughing times
And bright and sunny days. I'd like the tears of those who grieve
To dry before the sun Of happy memories that /leave
When life is done.
