OBITUARY
Abdul Rahman Ajami was born on the 24th of July in Port-Loko. His parents are Abdul Hamid Ajami, a Lebanese immigrant and Yalie Sesay Ajami, a local of Port Loko . He attended Koyeima Boy 's School, and was an avid soccer player. He was a successful businessman, involved in large scale transporting of goods and services primarily for the Sierra-Leone government. He was also President of the Colored Brotherhood and was instrumental in lobbying for the rights and citizenship of individuals born in Sierra-Leone of White immigrant fathers. He was also one of the founding members of Mighty Black Pool soccer clubs. He married the love of his life, Nellie (nee Nelson-Williams) and they lived together for 58 years until death separated them on the 15th of June at the ripe old age of91.
He is survived by his wife Nellie, and children: Ahmed, Fatmeh, AdbulHamid Jr. , Josephine, Rosaline, Jamil, Mariama, and Gibrilla. His Grandchildren included: Gerard, Hamida, Kadija, Abdul-Hamid, Alpha, Mustapha, Derrisha, Dahlia, Zed, Bien, and Ambrose Jr. 3 and two Great-Grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Mrs. Fatu Ahmed of London, and BrothersIn-Law: Godfrey and Ernest Nelson-Williams in the UK. Other surviving relatives are his Son-in-Law, Desmond Fraser, Sisters-In-Law: Grace Williams and Sallay Ajami; Daughters-In-Law: Zainab, Fatmatta, and Shella, and nieces and nephews in Sierra Leone and Abroad.
Families in Sierra Leone, United States, London, and Nigeria include: The Ajami, Ahmed, Sesay, Taqi, Nelson-Williams, Archer-Davies, Akingba, Bartels, John, Streeter, Bangura, Alpha, Roberts, Greene, Massally, and Hotobah -During families . Members of the Colored Brotherhood (Mulatto) include: Osman, Kadi, Fahad, Basma, Bahsoon, Harriri, and Hajallie families.
Communicating family and friends include: Jemelleh, Fatu, Leila, Hamouday, Walter, Ajibola, Fawzie, Beatrice, Dr. Hamid Taqi, Baimba, Radi, Juldeh.
