OBITUARY
Mother Mary Lou Aaron was the daughter of the late Rev. Luther E. Cook Sr. and the late Mary Duncan Cook. She was born on October 14, 1929, in Toccoa, Georgia. She is the seventh of nine children, eight who preceded her in death.
In her youth, Sis. Mary Aaron attended school in Rome, Georgia, where she graduated from Rome High School. She also attended Bethune Cookman College, and subsequently Spelman College, during which time she met, and married on September 15, 1954, her husband, the late John Wesley Aaron Sr., who preceded her in death on May 28, 2009. To their union was born eight children (one who preceded them in death, their daughter Thalia Aaron) . Sis. Mary worked for Atlanta Public Schools, and later pursued nursing assistant.
She accepted the Lord in 1942, at the age of 13, while attending St. John Holiness Church. In 1954, she became a member of Aaron's Tabernacle F.B.H. Church, first serving under the leadership of the late Rev. Dewitt Aaron. She continued to serve faithfully at Aaron's Tabernacle, as Assistant Pastor, under the leadership of the late Rev. Walter I. Aaron, where she was a local minister of the Fire Baptized Holiness Church and served actively on the Mother Board, until her passing, under the leadership of Rev. Kimberly Edwards.
She departed this life, on March 17, 2015. She leaves to mourn her passing: 7 children - Mr. John W. Aaron Jr., Ms. Mattilyn Aaron, Mr. Luther D. Aaron, Mrs. Mignon V. White, Mr. Anthony Aaron, Mr. & Mrs. Kevin (Ruth) Aaron and Ms. Corliss Aaron; 1 sister - Mr. & Mrs. Johnny (Rosalyn Juanita) Carter; 17 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 2 sister in laws - Sis.
Jacqueline Aaron & Sis. Glada Aaron; A host of nieces, nephew,
relatives and friends.
