James Pendergrast Memorial Library (Albany State University)
The James Pendergrast Memorial Library is the nerve center of Albany State University. The library is named in honor of Dr. James Pendergrast who was Dean of Academic Affairs. The library's collection is approximately 200,000 volumes. It includes electronic and print journals, government documents, microform and other resources. The library is a part of the Galileo consortia. GIL (Galileo Interconnected Libraries) is the integrated library management system for acquiring, cataloging, accessing and circulating the collections of Albany State and members of the USG (University System of Georgia). GIL is an extension of Galileo, Georgia's Virtual Library which provides access to thousands of full-text journals, electronic books and much more. Albany State's online public access catalog is located at www.gil.asurams.edu.
