A document dated 1860 January 12 in Warren County, Georgia. It lists the property in the estate of William Stone, deceased. The following minor children of William Stone received joint property shares relating to 38 enslaved people, and also received the following sums of money: Cordelia A. - $717.51; Cassanda M. - $718.34; Ellafara B. - $1642.85; William J. - $1999.91; Martha B. - $823.86. The enslaved people are listed by name and age and include Amos, 22; Ebbin, 25; Jefferson, 17; John, 1; Saphronia, 12; Charity, 3; and Antinett, 8. The administrators of the estate were Isaac Harris and Catharine Stone. The document is signed (with "X") by Catharine Stone., William Stone married Catharine Harris in 1830, upon his death he left his 38 enslaved people, property, and money to his children, of both sexes. Several of the enslaved people were children, as young as one-years-old, though a number of others were in their 20s. The money given ranged from $700 to nearly $2000.
