Description
Included in this collection are several photographs of Atlanta religious centers. Outlar photographed Christian churches, but also provided images of Jewish synagogues as well. The collection contains exterior views of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, Central Baptist Church, Central Presbyterian Church, Catholic Cathedral of Christ the King, Druid Hills Baptist Church, First Baptist Church, First Christian Church, First Congregational Church, First Methodist Church, First Presbyterian Church, Shrine of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Lutheran Redeemer Church, Peachtree Christian Church, Ponce de Leon Baptist Church, Reformed Hebrew Benevolent Congregation (the Temple), Second Ponce de Leon Baptist Church, Shearith Israel Congregation, Saint Luke's Episcopal Church, Saint Mark's Methodist Church, Cathedral of Saint Philips Episcopal Church, The Church of the Open Door, and Trinity Methodist Church. The collection also includes two aerial photographs of downtown Atlanta.
