Description
This collection is comprised of images of schools, farms, homes, public buildings, town squares, railroads, industrial facilities, cemeteries, rivers, stores, parks, and entertainment venues in Fulton County. The photographs were taken in the cities and towns of Alpharetta, Atlanta, Campbellton, East Point, Fairburn, Hapeville, Palmetto, Roswell, and Warsaw. Many of the photographs were entered into various Atlanta Historical Society photo contests from 1950 to 1954. The reverse side of the images includes information such as the time of day taken, the camera used, the lens opening, size and speed. Additional information regarding the history and changes to some of the buildings were provided by the photographer and are found on the reverse of the photographs.
