Second story windows boarded up. Decorative brick work. The building has a curved corner out the front. Date of Construction: c. 1895. Originally 2 buildings - in 1895, a grocery and a hardware store. With sleeping quarters upstairs. in 1900, hardware and general store. In 1905, buildings combined. After that, Young-Jones Hdwe, Miller Hdw, Discount Drugs, and now Allied Dept. Store. Significant as part of a potential National Register district, a downtown district of mostly 19th century buildings on Screven St.
