- Georgia Architectural and Historic Properties Survey of 208 N. Quincy St., Quitman, Brooks County, Ga., 1981. Victorian irregular plan house with hipped roof. Curved surrounding shed porch. Hipped dormer. Turned spindle posts. Clapboard siding. Sash windows with 1/1 lights. Vertical narrow siding also. Dentil range under eaves. Stained glass transom over double front doors. Brick foundation. Iron fence surrounds yard. Round bay at right front with curved glass in windows. Good condition. 1/2 acre. Date of Construction: 1900. 1976 - new kitchen added. Lot bought by Mrs. J.M. Quarterman in 1898. J.O. Lewis bought north 1/2 acre and built the home. Significant architecturally, a fine example of turn-of-the-century Victorian. Significant as part of a potential National Register district, north and west of courthouse square.
