Sunday night 230 Riverside Drive New York City May 4th 1924 Tele. Riverside 9480 Dear Mrs Beamer This is to tell you that Hazel has safely weathered her tonsil operation & I am bringing her home tomorrow - We went Sat - & she had them out, in a short time by a skillful Dr - He insisted upon her taking [?] as he said very truly no doubt, then he could not make a thorough I was with her until she had taken [?] I then staid on until she came out of it. Dr made her faithfully sick of course - it always does - & it affords her some more than others [?] so we thought in-part to keep her at the hospital until she [was] is in entirely good shape. Of course I am with her all day - & she was fine tonight - so tomorrow she will coe home - Im going down in the morning to see her - Its a Good hospital & she has a private room - & the nurses & Dr are loved by her - I dont think Mrs. Beamer, that [?] one could be better taken care of or more loved than she is. We are ordered to keep her in bed the rest of the week - & so with her after that - & I shall take her to Onteora for a last time - They tell me that [?] was a very proper [?] & that 2 these bothersome [*230 Riverside Drive*] [?] will not [?] [?] to keep [*New York City*] again. Also they all tell me that she [*Tele. Riverside 9480*] put on fat for the first time in her life - & I believe she will. Bub sent her some lovely roses & Ben Ali sent a mass of beautiful spring flowers - & Mr. Keith is having her room here filled with daffodils & & tulips & all the gay things he can think of for her return - George has haunted the house & the hospital with ice cream for her & Mr. Keith says her various admirers have kept the wires hot asking abt her - & all our friends as well. She will write herself after she gets back & settled - Down farther to answer this letter, Mrs. Beamer - it is only to give yout the inside dope abt everything. I am awfully glad to leave it now - for it is a nasty job - but she certainlly needed it bads - My best love to Mm Sally & Mm Willy & always to yourself Yours Affectionately Dora W. Keith Of course I am ont here all day - until I have to leave for night - so dont worry.
