- Dungeness Plantation was built on the south end of Cumberland Island in 1884 by Thomas Carnegie. Only ruins of the structure remain.

The nonsymmetrical mansion features a prominent tower, a three-story bay window, and arched windows. Palm trees line the road leading to the house.
