Craven tells a story in which Meaders showed her an "ugly jug" as a child, and she decided then to become a potter as an adult so she could make a "pretty jug." She then states that she is not create mass-produced works. Finally, she notes that she does not create pottery for the money, but she does it because she enjoys the work.
