- This record book begins with the bylaws and regulations adopted at the first meeting of the board of trustees on March 2, 1829. The original name of MCG was the Medical Academy of Georgia. Typically the board of trustees met once a year to review the accounts of the school and accept the dean’s report which included the list of graduates for that year. The record book ends in 1892.
