- Please use the index to the 1866-1867 volume to find authors and articles. This is the twenty-first volume of the Southern Medical and Surgical Journal and the only volume labeled "Whole Series". The volume year was from July-August 1866 to July 1867. This volume contains surgical case reports by former Confederate Army surgeons, including MCG professors as well as CSA medical and hospital reports. The list of the 1866 and 1867 MCG graduates are included as well as the 1867 graduation address given by the president of Mercer University, Rev. Henry H. Tucker. A report of the 1867 annual meeting of the Georgia Medical Association and two of the papers read at the meeting are included. A few issues list the entire MCG faculty at the end of the issue.
