Significance: GDOT Bridge #397/00162/X/00164N is representative of the Warren pony truss with verticals bridge. It is one of thirty-seven Warren truss bridges recorded in the state and one of twenty-nine identified as a Warren pony truss with verticals. It is one of two such bridges in Walton County. Based on the context of the Georgia Historic Bridge Survey, this structure fits into the era of "historic" bridge building in Georgia.
