- Description:
- Destruction caused by the 1936 tornado. Photograph taken after the tornado. The path of the tornado of April 6, 1936 began at the foot of West Washington Street and went through the valley between Washington and West Broad. Nothing was left standing in that area. It then swept across the business district destroying the Courthouse. It veered eastward through a residential section and then traveled on to New Holland.
