- Ralph Reed discusses his early life and the origin of his interest in politics. He discusses attending the University of Georgia and his involvement with the UGA College Republicans. Reed recalls his interest in the race between Jimmy Carter and Ronald Regan. He comments on his internship with Senator Mack Mattingly in Washington, D.C. Reed describes his job with the College Republican National Committee. He reflects on his internship with Zell Miller during his political campaign against Herman Talmadge in the Democratic primaries. Reed discusses the young generation that voted for Ronald Regan. Reed discusses his election to Chairman of the Georgia Republican party in 2001 and his later studies at Emory University. Reed reflects on launching the Christian Coalition with the help of Pat Robertson. He discusses the influence of Evangelicals on politics and discusses the social conservative movement. Reed also weighs in on party politics, third parties, and the Tea Party. Reed discusses his work in the Faith and Freedom Coalition and reflects on his work with the campaigns of Ronald Reagan, George W. Bush, and George H.W. Bush. Reed also reflects on several books he wrote and on the Bible's influence in his political choices.

Ralph Reed is founder and chairman of the Faith & Freedom Coalition. He was senior advisor to the Bush-Cheney campaigns in both 2000 and 2004, and chairman of the Southeast Region for BC04. As chairman of the Georgia Republican Party he led the GOP to its biggest victory in history, helping to elect the first Republican Governor and third U.S. Senator since Reconstruction. Reed is chairman and CEO of Century Strategies, LLC, a public relations and public affairs firm. As executive director of the Christian Coalition from 1989-1997, he built one of the most effective public policy organizations in recent political history. He is the best-selling author and editor of five books, including his latest novel, The Confirmation. He is married to his wife Jo Anne and is the father of their four children.
