- Bobby Kahn, a Democratic political activist from Savannah, Georgia, is the former chairman of the Democratic Party of Georgia. Kahn was elected chairman in 2004; his term expired in 2007. He previously served as Chief of Staff under Governor Roy Barnes.

Bobby Kahn discusses growing up in Savannah, attending Emory as an undergraduate, and attending the University of Georgia for law school. He recalls being involved in Phyllis Kravitch's campaign for state court, Jimmy Carter's campaign for President, and Joe Frank Harris's campaign for Governor. Kahn recalls running Judge Benham's campaign for state judgeship. He discusses meeting Roy Barnes and dealing with the Republican suburban areas in 1982. Kahn comments on several politicians who switched parties. He recalls serving as the executive director of the Democratic party of the Harris administration and working on the 1990 state senate election. Kahn discusses the death of Senator Paul Coverdell and Roy Barnes' subsequent appointment of Zell Miller. He comments on Miller's voting record in the Senate and the Democrats' strategies to deal with Miller's right-leaning politics. Kahn comments on Barnes' 1998 campaign for Governor. He also recalls the Gang of Five which Barnes was part of, a group interested in campaign finance and consumer issues. Kahn discusses some of Barnes' accomplishments as governor, including his vision for transportation, water, the budget, and healthcare. He comments on education reform, the flag controversy, and reapportionment. Kahn also discusses Barnes' 2002 defeat in his campaign for reelection. Kahn discusses party politics in Georgia and comments on the Democratic party's involvement with minorities and labor unions.
