- Charles “Pete” McTier is a retired Trustee and past President of the Robert W. Woodruff Foundation, Lettie Pate Evans Foundation, Joseph B. Whitehead Foundation, and Lettie Pate Whitehead Foundation. He currently serves as a Director of Coca-Cola FEMSA, SA de CV, and the CDC Foundation, and is a member of the board of the Georgia Research Alliance, the Pediatric Center Board of Children’s Healthcare, and Emory University.
In this interview, Charles McTier discusses his early life in Atlanta and the city's growth. He describes the impact of Emory University and the Woodruff Foundation on the city's development. He talks about the Atlanta Way and its future in the city, as well as Andrew Young's role in shaping Atlanta.
