- Print verso inscribed: "Submitted by Nat Cox, 418 North Ave., Apt 12, taken in 1907-1908. Her husband, Nat M. Cox, 4th from right, died about 12 years ago. After this was taken he left department and they lived 14 years in Blakely, GA. Capt. John Kaiser, 4th from left died about 35 years ago. Marietta and Latimer." Newspaper caption attached to the print verso: "Turning Back the Clock: Fire Station Number Three 40 Years Ago: Firemen of the Atlanta No. 3 stand beside their horse-drawn equipment to have their picture taken in 1907. The station was located at Marietta and Latimer Sts. The same station now stands at the orginal site and has as its captain Oscar Morrison. The captain of the station in 1907 was John Kaiser (fourth from left), who died about 35 years ago. Cobblestones in front of the station in this picture have been repolaced with paving. The old photograph was submitted by Mrs. Nat Cox, of 418 North Ave, N.E. Her husband, the late Nat M. Cox, fourth from right (front). After the photograph was made, Mr. Cox left the department and lived in Blakely, GA., for 14 years. Mrs. Cox recieved $5 fom the Atlanta Jounral for her contribution."
