- Description:
- "Workmen preparing the big blast at the Tugalo Dam"--Typed on verso of print. The Tagalo River runs between Georgia and South Carolina. The name is now spelled "Tagaloo." The Georgia Railway and Power Company built six hydroelectric power plants in the early 1900s to answer the increased need for electricity in Atlanta. These were built along the Tallulah and Tugaloo Rivers. The Tagaloo Dam stretches between Oconee County, South Carolina and Rabun County, Georgia.
