Savannah resident Bernice Green was displaced from her home for four years after property maintenance condemned her house and later destroyed it. After the intervention of the Neighborhood Improvement Association, Mrs. Green was allowed to rebuild her house through the Owner Occupy Program from HUD. Civic Magazine covers a ribbon cutting ceremony for the completion of Green's new home. Speaking on the issue and solution are Marsha Verdree of the Savannah Housing Department, who talks about the process through which Green was permitted to rebuild her house with loans from HUD, Assistant City Manager Israel Small, Mayor Floyd Adams, Jr., Alderman Pete Liakakis, City Manager Michael Brown, Midtown Neighborhood President Verlynda Slaughter, and property owner Bernice Green who sings a song of thanks. Civic Magazine covers a press conference summarizing the goals for Savannah's drainage improvement projects to prevent flood damage. Speakers at the press conference include U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Col. Joseph K. Schmitt, Mayor Floyd Adams, Jr., Garrison Commander HAAF Lt. Col. James Stauffer, and City Manager Michael Brown. Segment six: Speed enforcement legislation, 44:44-50:44. Civic Magazine covers a press conference announcing new speed enforcement legislation in the interest of public safety in Savannah's historic district. Some areas of Savannah were designated as historic districts to make it easier for police to crack down on speeding. Speakers include SPD Major Dan Reynolds, SPD Lt.
