- In this interview, Frank Magaro recalls his experiences in the U.S. Army Air Corps in Europe during World War II. He recalls his family, childhood, education and entry into the Air Corps. He details his training and journey to England. He gives details about some of the thirty flights as co-pilot in a B-17 that he completed over Germany. He discusses time he spent in England, including experiencing V-1 buzz bombs and a V-2 rocket attack in London (Eng.). He recalls arriving back in the United States the day President Roosevelt died. He describes his post-war life, including reunions, the 8th Air Force Historical Society, and visiting the World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C.
