- This recording opens with singer Johnny Cash's rendition of "Southwind" and an introduction of the program by Boyd Lewis. The first segment is a feature about the University of Mississippi and its campus culture, politics, and race relations. The program contains audio excerpts from faculty members Jim Cobb, Joan Harkes, Larry Connelly; and students Dan Turner, Vickie Wells, Newell Turner, and Terry Buffington. The second segment, which begins at 22:59 is a feature about a form of dance called clogging. The program was produced by Beatrice Black of the South Carolina Education Network and features audio excerpts from people at the national clogging competition in Columbia, South Carolina. The program ends with a sign off by Boyd Lewis.
